Since being introduced to W M Search a number of years ago, they have serviced most of our temporary site accommodation and welfare facilities. We have found Graham very attentive and professional in his approach when organising our requirements. The rates are competitive, the units in good order and all is backed up by a prompt maintenance department should any problems arise. Their wagon drivers are helpful and practically minded when presented with difficult tight site conditions. I was quite sceptical when first approached by Search. As an OEM I was used to dealing directly with the manufacturer and for all I had found distributors fine for aftermarket support I had always experienced problems when using them for product. Right from the onset I was impressed with Search's positive and professional approach, it was evident that they were experienced in dealing with OEMs and catered well for their needs. Having now dealt with them for a number of years I have never really looked back and it is great to work in partnership with one company who are prepared to provide a total power solution package. Most suppliers provide a service when you buy but few offer the level of support before and after the sale that seems to come as standard when you deal with Search.

As manufacturers of Traffic Control Equipment we sell mainly into the Hire sector. This is a very demanding market as no one wants to buy until their last piece of kit goes out of the yard, and then they want equipment like yesterday. The engine manufacturers only built to firm orders so invariably we had too many or too little in stock and consequently spent most of our time chasing or attempting t delay deliveries. It was a breath of fresh air when Search approached us as they seemed to instantly recognise the problem and were able to provide a solution. As Hydraulics specialists we do not always come into direct contact with the prime mover and when we do it is generally an electric motor. Prior to being approached by Search we were somewhat reluctant to quote engine driven solutions, as we had never found a suitable partner. We have found Search to be very helpful, and have learnt from their applications experience. This ahs led us to winning new contracts in business sectors in which we had rarely worked before. In our business we never know what we will be asked to design from one day to the next. The fact that Search can offer such a wide range of product has led to us using engines from a 315cc single cylinder to a massive 8.1 ltr straight six. We have now used examples from all their range, be it Lombardini, Lister Petter, or Deutz, and have found their level of service consistent regardless of the brand of the engine, which says something about Search themselves.
