Would-be giant killers Harrogate Railway FC have turned to portable buildings group William G. Search Ltd for help in the build-up to its historic FA Cup showdown with Bristol City on December 8th. The match is taking place at the club¡¦s Station View ground which will be filled by a record 3,500 crowd.
Harrogate Railway, the lowest non-league club left in the competition, is currently placed some 100 places below Bristol City. However, such is the attraction of a potential major upset, that Sky TV is televising the game live.
Search is providing portable buildings for use by stewards, programme sellers
and first aid personnel as part of the transformation of the club¡¦s ground. The
firm is also installing self-contained toilets and supplying golf buggies to
transport the large number of media people expected to attend the match.
Overseeing the operation are Charles Lister and Graham Gaunt ¡V two senior members of the events team at Search. ¡§This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the club to be centre stage and we are working closely with them to ensure that it is a memorable day for everyone involved,¡¨ said Graham Gaunt.
¡§Our involvement grew due to our extensive contacts in the sporting world. We have helped the club negotiate the price for the temporary stands and also asked the advice of key personnel from Leeds United who will help with catering and safety aspects.¡¨
Harrogate Railway FC Chairman, Dennis Bentley, said: ¡§I am very grateful to Charles Lister and the Search team. Their advice and professional approach have been invaluable in helping us prepare for this momentous occasion.¡¨
