Two new, multi-million pound manufacturing plants in South Yorkshire have chosen state-of-the-art compressed air equipment from William G Search Ltd to fuel their drive for success.
The Leeds-based company has installed Atlas Copco compressors and ancillary equipment worth more than £50,000 at sites operated by Springer Rapid and Newburgh, both based at the Centurion Business Park, Templeborough, in Rotherham.
Peter Schofield, Compressed Air Divisional Manager at Search, said: “These companies are making a significant investment in South Yorkshire and were looking for a reliable and efficient supply of air. The quality of Atlas Copco equipment is second to none and we are obviously delighted to be supplying such prominent local manufacturers.”
Taken together, Springer Rapid and Newburgh are investing more than £8.5m in the region and creating around 80 highly skilled engineering jobs. Springer Rapid is a new high-tech machining firm that has installed the world’s most advanced five-axis CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) milling machine. Newburgh is one of the UK's premier manufacturers of engineering components and assemblies for industries ranging from aerospace to deep-sea oil extraction.
Both companies have enjoyed help and support from agencies including Yorkshire Forward and Rotherham Investment & Development Office in setting up in the region.
