Brian Gilmer, seals expert at William G Search Ltd, returned from a recent US sales conference $400 better off after winning a contest at the event hosted by international sealing manufacturer, A W Chesterton.
Brian is Chesterton product specialist at Leeds-based Search, distributor for Chestertonˇ¦s range of mechanical seals and related products in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
The conference drew product specialists from around the world and Brian saw off all other competitors in a contest to assess delegatesˇ¦ knowledge about pump efficiency. He came first in the mechanical seal category and followed up with third place in mechanical packing.
Brian was remaining tight lipped about how he might spend his newfound wealth, but fears his colleagues at Search will be right behind him on any future trips to the local!
Chesterton products are used in a host of power generation, paper, marine, petrochemical and general engineering applications in the UK and around the world.
