SEARCH ENTERS NEW MARKET THROUGH CHESTERTON DEAL

William G Search Ltd, the Leeds-based compressed air and process equipment supplier and maintainer, has signed a distribution agreement with A.W. Chesterton Co, one of the largest international manufacturers of industrial fluid-sealing and maintenance products.

This is a new market for Search, which will distribute the products through its compressed air and process equipment division in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
The division currently distributes products made by CompAir, Hoval, Beko, Airmachines, Stenhoj and SP Air Corporation.

Brian Gilmer, the Chesterton products specialist at William G Search, said: “We are very excited by this deal. Chesterton products have an international reputation for quality and are used extensively in power generation, paper, marine, petro-chemical and general engineering industries.”

Paul Daley, Senior UK Sales Manager for A.W. Chesterton, said: “We decided to appoint Search to distribute our products because of the obvious synergies in our client base. Furthermore, we believe there will be long-term benefits from adopting a single-source solution to our needs.

“The decision to appoint Search follows Chesterton’s recent investment of more than $70m in new products and equipment to help customers to reduce downtime.”
