William G Search Ltd has been awarded a new contract with the PGA European Tour to supply some of the most prestigious events in the UK golfing calendar. Search will provide four purpose-built cabins for Rules Officials that will be moved to each mainland Tour event, plus a range of leisure units for the staging side of the Tour including cabins and toilets.
The contract for golfing facilities alone will run to some 200 units each year and Search will also be supplying additional units for TV crews covering each event.
The PGA contract covers four major events in addition to various other smaller events and the Senior Tour throughout the year. The major events this year are the Volvo PGA Championships at Wentworth (25-28 May), the Celtic Manor Resort Wales Open (29 May-1 June), the Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters at Marriott Forest of Arden (5-8 June) and The Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond (10-13 July).
In addition to standard cabins for administration and marshals, Search is also providing four purpose-built units for Rules Officials. These are brand new cabins built to The Tours own specifications with bespoke interiors and furnishings. They include a large (40x10) main office for the Rules staff and Tournament Director, a Recorders Office for players to check and sign score cards, a general meeting room/store and a smaller office for caddies to compile statistics after each round.
