William G Search Ltd, the Leeds-based plant hire specialist and engine distributor, has promoted David Douglas to oversee the day-to-day running at Ashby and Anderson, its engine remanufacturing division.
David, who has been with Search since 1981, has worked his way up from crankshaft grinder through to foreman. He succeeds Bill Parkinson, who has retired after 49 years with the group.
Gavin Auckland, divisional manager responsible for Ashby and Anderson, said: ˇ§The division is one of the oldest engine reconditioners in Leeds and works closely with the regionˇ¦s motor trade, carrying out all aspects of engine and component refurbishment.
