Labourer/Driver – Leeds
This is an established role within the Company, working closely with the Works Foreman in the Depot dealing with the cleaning and preparation of toilets and other units, including pressure washing, disinfecting and minor repairs to units that are on hire to building contractors in the regional construction industry, local events and local authorities.
Objective
To work within the team as a key support member, responsible for the cleaning and preparation of units, including toilets, cabins, welfare units etc. prior to hire by our client base.
Responsible to
The Works Foreman and Depot Supervisor, but will be accountable for their own tasks on a daily basis.
Duties
· Cleansing and preparation of toilets and other units as described above
· Ensuring that units are ready for hire in a timely manner
· Communication with the Works Foreman and Depot Supervisors regarding progress of works.
· Other yard duties including keeping storage yard clean and tidy; sweeping; washing down; weeding; grass cutting; general maintenance
· Driving a 7.5 ton distribution vehicle – delivery and collection of chemical toilets
· Driving and operating a 7.5 ton toilet service vehicle to service and clean toilets on site
· N.B. Use of route planner or Tom Tom will be available
Person Specification
Essential Skills
· Must be able to work within strict time-frames
· Good communication skills with ability to discuss issues, including routes and site instructions, with Works Manager and other internal personnel
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Physically fit
· Ability to work without supervision
· General maintenance skills
· Full UK driving licence desirable (or European equivalent - C required for 7.5 tonne)
